South Africa-born, Germany-based artist Adam Donen has dropped his latest track, ‘What Doesn’t End’. “The whole thing, inclusive of the line breaks, was written on a mobile phone during one of my daily walks,” he explains. On this track, his Leonard Cohen influences are particularly prominent. The sparse accompaniment plays directly into the dark, poetic world created by his words; his voice is fittingly gruff and baritone, with just enough melodic intrigue. A video, shot by Donen, is filled with the same sense of haunting beauty as the track.
